agreyeyedgirl asked… [part 3]

74. What are your favourite books? This could go on for pages, so I’ll just list a few that come to mind immediately:

  • The Billabong Books by Mary Grant Bruce (childhood FAVOURITES)
  • Little Women by Louisa May Alcott (ditto)
  • anything by Rosemary Sutcliff (but especially The Eagle of the Ninth)
  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  • Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt
  • The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare
  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
  • Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster
  • Passion and Purity by Elisabeth Elliot
  • The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom
  • The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness

I’d better stop there, but that’s just a handful :).

79. Your favourite icecream? Peanut butter chocolate by Baskin Robbins. mmm!

88. Which mythological creature are you most like? Why? I’m not up on alllll the mythological creatures, but I’ve always had a soft spot for fauns. They’re not quite human and they’re not quite animal, and I can relate to feeling torn between two worlds.

91. Say two facts about your favourite things: 1) they speak to the importance of words in my life, and 2) they make me happy.

153. What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for you? Wow. This is hard to decide, because the people I know are so full of kindness, and it’s the little things that often mean the most. My parents are so so kind and always doing generous things. But two things that stand out both involve insterstate flights: once, my cousin bought me a ticket to come and see her (the very next day) just because she thought I needed a break. And my beautiful friends Carla and Meaghan flew me interstate to stay with them the year I turned 30.
